This is not the first time Colin has led the development of a new medical facility in Hawke’s Bay. He led the development of the Hawke’s Bay Hospital’s renal unit and then the new medical centre on Canning Road.
From experience Colin says there’s lots of moving parts to leading the development of a new healthcare facility. However it’s an incredibly exciting opportunity to build a modern facility from concept through to securing funding, turning the soil and seeing the facility emerging from the ground.

Before joining Kaweka, I worked in Auckland while obtaining my Chartered Accountancy qualification before making the move to the United Kingdom where I worked in a finance manager role at a tech & wellbeing start-up.
My focus is on ensuring financial policies and procedures are established with supportive technology and systems, to implement and monitor operational budgets and to assist with obtaining funding for each stage of the build and to ensure there is careful cashflow planning and monitoring for Kaweka to meet financial objectives.
I am really excited about being an integral part of building the foundations of Kaweka Hospital and to work and learn alongside a team of highly experienced team members to to enable their vision to be leaders in private healthcare for the Hawke’s Bay region and New Zealand.
