Who we are
Kaweka Hospital was founded by a group of clinicians who saw the need to offer additional surgical procedures to the growing Hawke's Bay population.
Kaweka Surgical Centre is the one-story building within our campus which contains four operating theatres, post-procedure recovery and overnight beds. All patients coming to Kaweka for surgery are seen here, this is also where our Ward is currently situated.
Kaweka Specialist Centre and Ward is the-three story building on our campus that contains dedicated clinic spaces and houses a number of tenants including;
- Canopy Cancer and Imaging
- G and H Cardiology
- ENT Hawke’s Bay and Te Whatu Ora’s ENT Service
- Eye Institute
- Flatties Café
- Hawkes Bay Surgeons
- Hawkes Bay Urology
- Kaweka Clinics

Kaweka Hospital has been established by Hawke’s Bay clinicians for the people of Hawke’s Bay. We are here to provide our community with more healthcare, which is delivered in a timely manner and is of the highest quality. We believe this will be achieved by having an empowered, happy team and we are excited to be working with a wide group of partner organisations and stakeholders to help make this happen.
We are excited to be bringing a new team together to paint the future of healthcare in Hawke’s Bay.
