About the role

  • Permanent, part position working 32 hours per fortnight
  • Monday to Friday (rostered shifts)
  • Front reception position, directly impacting the patient experience
  • Position starting as soon as possible

We’re looking for a Medical Receptionist to join the team at Kaweka Hospital to support our current team. While the role is part time, there will be an opportunity to pick up extra hours to cover leave from time to time.

You’ll join the wider Patient Services team and have a direct impact on the patient and their whānau experience while under our care. It’s extremely important to us that we find people who will live and breathe our values and support us in providing the best care possible.

Previous experience in reception roles will be of huge value, and even more so if you’ve worked in health. We’re looking for people with an understanding of the stress and pressure the patient journey can bring and who will be sympathetic to the needs of those who walk through our doors.

You’ll need to have exceptional communication and customer service skills and be willing to go above and beyond. We’re a small team so your willingness to jump in and do whatever is required to ensure a smooth patient journey is essential.

Anaesthetist

  • Fixed term, 12 month contract
  • 1 FTE, 80 hours per fortnight
  • Primarily based at Hawke’s Bay’s newest private surgical hospital

We’re thrilled to be able to introduce a permanent Anaesthetist position to our team at Kaweka Hosptial. This is your opportunity to join Hawke’s Bay’s brand new, private surgical hospital – you won’t get a better chance than this to do things differently, just ask our current staff!

Our current specialists cover Endoscopy, ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Urology. We have hired a wide of experienced nurses, anaesthetic techs and a large number of support staff to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

While predominantly based at our new facility, there is also an opportunity to use your expertise in affiliated sites to support the Hawke’s Bay community, where the need arises.

Patient Hospitality Assistant

Hospitality / food prep / customer service


About the role

  • Permanent, full time position (40 hours per week)
  • 8 hour shifts between 7am and 7pm, rostered and rotating – you would need to be able to work any day of the week
  • Take control of our high quality dining experience!

This is a hospitality role like no other! We’re looking for someone who has an exceptional eye for detail, who understands that presentation is key to a luxury experience and wants to ensure our patient’s needs are met beyond expectation. If you’re looking for a change in direction in the hospitality industry, this could be your chance to do something new!

If you’ve worked in hospitality and in particular have been responsible for food presentation and service then you’ll understand what it is we’re looking for. While some experience would be great, the right attitude is more important as we’ll teach you everything you need to know. You’ll need to be someone who can work unsupervised and be willing to go the extra mile for our patients and staff.

We’re a small team so your willingness to jump in and do whatever is required to ensure a smooth patient journey is essential. Full training will be given so if you don’t have experience, don’t worry – we’re more interested in finding staff with a positive attitude and are caring and compassionate.
